This book is the faithful
transcription of a 1984 letter from a man I knew through my organization Sharkhunters which
focuses on the authentic history of WWII submarines and their captains and crews from all nations in KTB magazine. This
fellow wrote me a letter one day telling me a fanciful story of his experience as a World War II spy and "Nazi
smuggler." He had a code name and everything.

He claimed he was a Spaniard and that his name was Don
Angel Alcazar de Velasco. He claimed he smuggled Hitler's "second," Martin Bormann, out of the Berlin
bunker and got him safely to South America. He claimed that in 1953 he met a man those around him called "the
Fuhrer." The man bore an uncanny likeness to an ageing Adolf Hitler.

Don Angel said he knew all the
details of Hitler's escape from Berlin: Hitler had been drugged and secreted away by agents chosen for the task.
The "dead Hitler" was nothing more than a double.

After that his adventures with Bormann began. The
claims were so fantastic—but so fascinating— I checked him out through the many surviving WWII contacts I
still have who are members of Sharkhunters.

He was who he said he was. And his story was quite plausible. The
more I read the manuscript — spending hours with other experts trying to poke holes
in the story—the more I realized there was a very good chance this man was telling me the truth. Now I know he
was. Here is Don Angel's story.

As you can glean from the short
description, this book is the accounting of personal correspondence of a self-confessed
Nazi spy (Spanish National) to Sharkhunters Intl. founder, Harry Cooper. To place proper perspective before reading this
book, you must understand what the group is about. They are not big-foot/alien hunter types, looking to cash in on
another yarn, but historians that were originally focused on u-boat history and, naturally, branched out from there.

What is this book? Better described, what is this book not. It is not a professionally written, edited, and
marketed book looking to sensationalise. In fact, it is particularly poorly formatted and contains several spelling or
typing errors. This is not a book that looks to have a day by day accounting of the last days of the Third Reich and
post war activities. It is purely a translated letter with Harry Cooper's notes, intertwined.

Is this
book believable? In my estimation, yes. Most of it, anyway. You will learn how Hitler and Martin Bormann escaped Europe
and found new residence in Argentina. You will learn that certain elements of the Nazi party continued to exist in
certain locales. It is believable because of what the book does not tell. The Spy didn't know everything, just what
he was exposed to. For instance, he had no idea where the Nazis resided in Argentina. He had no idea who was there,
beyond the notables aforementioned. He had no idea what they were doing, other than what he was allowed to know, as it
pertained to his mission. Harry Cooper picks up the ball from there, adding insight into the actual places, the
historical background that allows you to believe that this relocation WAS possible. He has pictures and documents that
affirm elements of the story.
